situated conveniently between the Oratorio di San Ludovico and the ACTV public transport boat stop, only a very short distance from both, the restaurant presents an extremely elegant atmosphere.
Skilfully restored to its present state by the architect, Francesco Pugliese. With its 400 years-old rustic brick walls and its strikingly modern and distinctive colour scheme, 'Avogaria' was opened to the public in September 2002.
The restaurant offers a richly seasonal menu based on simple traditional Apulian dishes, prepared by Antonella, (herself Apulian), with the knowing guidance of the proprietor, Mimmo. All accompanied by a wide selection of Apulian and local wines.

CAMPO SANTA MARGHERITA
one hundred meters from the point at which the photograph on the left was taken, one of the busiest areas of town, could almost be called the Latin Quarter offering a wide selection of eating places to suit most tastes.
Extremely popular with students from the nearby university and with local Venetians, it regularly hosts open-air concerts and is one part of Venice where you can be fairly sure of finding food at affordable prices in pubs, bars and restaurants which remain open till late.
The square is only five minutes walk away from the Oratorio di San Ludovico.
